Pros: Extremely talented and passionate people, who you'll be working with at the company. Perks such as free lunch every day of the week and an office gym are fantastic too.

Cons: In my opinion, there is a high degree of power distance at the company that management should address.

Pros: The actual job roles available in Oxford are pretty good, but there is a massive disconnect between benefits and office facilities in the UK and the US. Bupa medical and Cigna dental cover.

Cons: US employees have a mass of discounts and perks available which aren’t available to UK staff, e.g. flight and hotel discounts, IATA discount card, and loads of local discounts. Employer pension contribution is only 5%. Holiday entitlement is only 25 days per year, with no option to buy additional days like most other tech companies (especially in Europe). Snacks used to be really good and on par with other offices but have now been reduced to chicken feed style dispensers to save money. The Oxford office is looking very tired compared to London, and most staff think it’s because it’s going to close soon.

Pros: The benefits package is great. Not only the 'normal' benefits that you get at a company, but being part of the Expedia network, there were a number of perks and discounts that you would get on travel.

Cons: Projects that I was working on kept having more and more layers of management added to them, until the managers were outnumbering the contributors. Scope creep was inevitable, and projects that should have been pushed live months in advance got held up with "wait, one more feature before we release."
