Pay is okay if you weigh in the work hours. The health care program is good. TSMC is thriving to improve workplace culture.
If you are a highly sensitive person like me, then TSMC is not the best place for you.
If you have a hard time with a fast-paced industry, constant change on schedule, high-demand KPIs, and prompt, instant responses to both team messages, calls, and emails, then this place is definitely not for you.
My mental health has worsened since I joined TSMC. However, it really depends on individuals. Some people can take this as skill-building and challenges for their career growth. Some, like me, just think it's an energy-consuming, life-wasting place to help me stay in the U.S. and make a living – a basic paycheck.
Pay eventually goes to stress shopping, therapy, and other medical assistance to help me go to work.
Hire more people instead of just giving false promises of adjusting work hours to meet work-life balance, while simultaneously speeding up the schedule and raising the original KPI.
I had two interviews. Both were mainly focused on company culture, why you wanted to work for the company, and what you know about the company, etc. Some behavioral and technical questions were asked as well.
It was a basic behavioral interview over the phone to gauge my interest in the company, as well as see if I had basic knowledge about the role I was applying for.
Questions about the company. Hardly any technical questions. Mostly just, "What do you know about us?" A hard-to-understand Taiwanese individual. It's alright; I didn't want to be overworked by them anyway. Best of luck to anyone being hired.
