The salary is good, and the platform is high-level.
The company culture at TSMC is toxic and unhealthy. There is a lack of trust and collaboration among colleagues, and people are constantly trying to outshine each other. The competitive atmosphere created a cutthroat environment where teamwork and support were rare. Additionally, there was a clear divide between management and employees, with little opportunity for open dialogue or feedback. This toxic culture negatively impacted morale and hindered productivity.
The process was straightforward with three rounds: one HR and two technical. They were also straightforward, with the technical rounds discussing what needs to be done in the job and the HR round briefing on your requirements and so on.
Questions about the company. Hardly any technical questions. Mostly just, "What do you know about us?" A hard-to-understand Taiwanese individual. It's alright; I didn't want to be overworked by them anyway. Best of luck to anyone being hired.
I applied online. Two panel interviews with people from the department. Mostly experience-based questions and common themes like why TSMC, what do you want to do in the future, etc. Second panel was very conversational.
