Pros: Great pay with smart teammates if you're in the right organization. There is still a hint of the old engineering culture, but many have since left.
Cons: Lots of dishonest middle management and empire building. Lots of engineers who are overpaid to know nothing but copy-paste code.
Uber is a political organization, not an engineering one. You do not work here to learn or advance your career. You come here to pretend to do work.

Cons: Under the new leadership, there was a lack of big bets. The team settled for running the business as usual and making small optimizations. It was hard to level up in the organization.
