Pros: Detailed design discussions are conducted before jumping to implementation. You get to learn different design tradeoffs.

Cons: Performance evaluation criteria are poor.

Pros: Good work-life balance for all employees.

Cons: No cons as such of working here.

Pros: Working at Uber has been, by far, the best move I've made for my career. The work environment is fast-paced, and each employee (engineer, designer, data scientist, etc.) moves quickly and efficiently to meet their goals. Everyone holds themselves and each other to a high standard, and this creates a culture of passion, commitment, and most importantly, collaboration. Uber's driven employees, paired with the noble mission of making transportation as reliable as running water, makes for an incredible work experience, and I'd highly recommend software engineers (among other roles) to apply.

Cons: Uber is a rapidly growing company, and as a result, the onboarding process could be streamlined a bit more. But otherwise, I don't have any complaints!
