Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

A recruiter reached out to set up a call with a hiring manager.

I chatted with a Senior Software Engineer briefly about his role and what his team does, and talked about my experience and past projects.

The conversation did not include questions about why I wanted to work there; it solely focused on describing my skills.

The team had a big emphasis on JavaScript, which I do not have a lot of experience in, and I think this is why I did not move on.

I'm not sure why I was selected for this particular team if it's clear from my resume that I don't have this background.

It was a friendly chat, and I learned a lot about the company.
