Process

In general, the most useless waste of 6 hours of my life in 2021. I received the first email at the end of January and finally got a final reply from them at the beginning of March.

There were 3 technical interviews, every time with different people. Every time, nobody paid any attention to whom they were interviewing or what number of interview it was. Every time, they started with an introduction about Via and other things that you have already heard multiple times.

Lot of attention was paid to processing big data sets with 100% certainty that if data is sorted, we will save a ton of processing time (Time of sorting? We don't care). On the last interview, I faced a point of view like "rationality is not the main thing – the main thing is to solve the task according to requirements." It sounds like if you have your own point of view, this is not the right place for you.

I cannot say anything negative regarding the HR interview with the offshore company that planned to hire me for Via, but the interview with HR on Via's side was full of typical HR questions. You feel yourself losing IQ points with every new question from HR.

Plus, they requested feedback from my manager and my GitHub account to take a look at my code, but according to the entire hiring process, I am sure that nobody paid any attention to this at all. I am very surprised why they did not request this information multiple times.

It's a pity that I have not checked interview feedbacks on Glassdoor before.
