The interview process was great.
There was a preliminary phone call (~30 minutes) to get a feel for the company and its culture. In my case, I chatted with one of the lead engineers. The team was quick to follow up with me over email and a couple short phone calls to provide clear next steps throughout the process.
After that, there was a screen sharing session to discuss a project I worked on and go over its code. I liked this much better than the typical technical interview that consists of trivia questions and arbitrary code challenges. Instead, we focused on real problems and how I approached them.
Everyone I interacted with was helpful throughout the process. Overall, a great interviewing experience.
Many technical questions were specific to my project. The main thing here is to have code you are confident in discussing.
