Front End Engineer Interview Experience - New York, New York

Process

Was very quick and accommodating, and everyone was super nice! I actually applied for a different role, but they contacted me for another one I eventually was offered.

  1. Recruiter Phone Screen - Standard, but there were a couple of very simple tech questions sent from the hiring manager.
  2. Tech Screen - No-coding tech screen, lots of competency questions, and one code example where you determine an output.
  3. Code Pair - Worked on building some features on a simple API in JavaScript. Wasn't hard, but did test knowledge of modern JS. Interviewer was very helpful and communicative.
  4. Onsite - 3 to 4 hours of multiple rounds: 1 with a PM, 1 with a VP, 2 technical, and an office tour with HR. One of the technical rounds involved whiteboarding a data structure (not something silly like a Red-Black BST; it was a practical data structure that any experienced dev could code). The other one was more generalized, tackling knowledge, problem-solving, and application design.

They really do try to accommodate your timeframe. I received an offer the day after the onsite, as I had a competing offer I needed to respond to.
