HR called me just for the introduction.
I am fairly accustomed to HR screening and do pretty well, but this recruiter was skeptical about me for some reason.
She was very disrespectful, and it felt like an interrogation.
She had a very stern tone throughout the interview.
I was referred by someone.
She started out by asking me who referred me, what his name is, how exactly we met and know each other, etc.
She wanted to know if I actually know the person and if my story checks out.
She kept interrupting me to ask counter questions, and it literally felt like an interrogation.
This lasted 30 minutes.
She even doubted me when she asked about my background and kept asking me if "I was sure?" that I had a master's degree.
She then said she would email me with next steps after the call.
I didn't receive an email and didn't care.
What is the name of the person who referred you?
How exactly do you know him?
How did you meet?
Why did he refer you?
Why do you want to join the company? I explained why I want to join, but she framed this question three different ways, such as: What intrigued you? What do you like about our company? And a never-ending list of "whys."
