The process began with a phone interview, which was a fairly casual and friendly conversation about my experience and interest in Wayfair.

Next was an at-home coding challenge, which I had 48 hours to complete (tip: study Cartesian product for that one).

Then came a live-coding challenge over the phone.

• The first question was designed for candidates unfamiliar with PHP, requiring interpretation and solution of a very easy PHP problem by asking questions and using general coding structure knowledge.
• The second question involved checking if an array of parentheses was valid (correct number of opening and closing parentheses, and proper order).

I didn't perform well on the second question, so I didn't advance. However, everyone was super nice throughout the process.
