Pros: Office located in central Berlin.

Cons: Everything else, especially management. There is no way anyone could care about you. They bring people from outside Germany or outside the EU and pay them a misery of a salary. This is why many leave after the first year, as they all wait to sell the shares they are entitled to after 12 months. In late 2019, they laid off hundreds of people after a chaotic growth. All the managers got bonuses and salary raises due to targets being achieved, and then the suckers that got hired were fired.

Pros: Scaling your knowledge of tech and tools, documentation, and tech writing will be done rapidly if you work in the Platform team. I learned a lot working with the Service Mesh Team. Amazing people all around who are always willing to share knowledge and help you get unblocked.

Cons: Learning curve could be steep. So many internally built tools and design processes. Documentation exists, but would hardly ever be enough. Complex layers of abstraction.

Pros: Good corporate culture and nice people.

Cons: Salary is lower than the average.
