Process

I was invited for a Google Meet call with the HR recruiter. He asked me basic questions about my background and then explained the company and the role. He seemed satisfied and told me that he would be forwarding my profile for further technical rounds.

After a few days, I received an automated rejection email with no feedback or reason provided. I emailed back to the HR but received no reply.

Lack of communication and top-down decisions

Pros: My project was great, and my work-life balance was perfect. I had plenty of time to do my job and study. There was no micromanagement from my manager or my director.

Cons: You must be prepared to deal with politics and people who think they were touched by God, as their personal opinion is worth more than data. Interviewing users is a big no. To be promoted, you have to know more people, not be good at your job. Things change constantly. You just know when your tickets get deleted, and new ones just appear with a deadline not given by engineers.
