Cons: The software industry is going through a viscous cycle of layoffs. There is a lot of fear. Excellent, even top, performers have been laid off in multiple rounds. Employees are losing their benefits, like 100% flexible work from anywhere.

Pros: Young, fun, exciting company to work for. Food and drinks are available for free at HQ in Boston. Game rooms and many fun events are planned quarterly, including holiday parties and outings in the Boston office. You will gain a lot of experience very quickly, and they do not live by the "we've always done it this way" mentality. Everyone is willing to try new methods and get excited about innovation and newness.

Cons: If your team sits in Boston and you are remote from one of the warehouses, you're often forgotten about during team bonding and outings. You will miss out on overhearing other teams and getting in on fun new projects. Reviews were done on a bell curve system (i.e., if 3 people on your team were getting promoted, 3 people had to land in the "does not meet expectations" zone, even if your review did not support that rating). If you are put into the left side of the bell curve, you will not get your full bonus. If you don't sit in the Boston HQ, you won't get most of the perks that the Boston office gets - there is free coffee, but no snacks, alcohol, etc.
