Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Berlin, Germany

Process

First, a chat with HR for normal questions, followed by two rounds of technical interviews with two senior developers. The interviews were conducted via Skype using an online editor. The process was respectful and all appointments were kept on time.

Questions

Questions were about algorithms, time complexity, and PHP functions in detail. I didn't find the questions really helpful because in daily work, if you intend to find out about function details, you spend time and find it. What matters most, in my opinion, is the mindset and experience of a developer.

Any developer can find some details and ask them from another developer who is not aware of the details and then mark the developer as not qualified.

Interviewers also admitted that these details in daily work are not that important, but they said they had to ask these questions and ask for solutions.
