Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Berlin, Germany
Process
They started with a recruiter call, which was smooth. However, they surprised me with Karat, a third-party video call interview to test basic skills.
I had read about it, and it happened. The Karat interviewer was extremely rude and robotic. They made sure not to provide any hints and kept rushing to the next questions, seemingly to meet a target of testing questions.
The role was above a Senior SE role, but this type of interview was not logical and it literally wasted my time.
That was the only round I gave and was rejected.
Just a suggestion: if it's Karat, prepare for Data Structures and SQL interviews with robots, or just save your time.
If you solve one, they will add more and more and more.
