Starting with recruiter talk and a coding session on the middle platform called Karat. Personally, I don't like this way of interviewing. The company should invest time in talking with future employees, potentially their future teammates.

Poor upper management actively ruining company

Pros: - Generally good workplace culture.
- Okay benefits (discounts on the site being a key one).
- Decent pay.
Cons: Upper management seems keen on ruining the company. Nobody at the top level is ever held accountable for their poor decisions, so anytime there's been a layoff, it's invariably the people at the bottom who bear the brunt.
Despite all messaging from leadership, performance reviews are ultimately stack-ranked. As a result, promos don't always happen based on merit like they theoretically should.
