Software Engineer Interview Experience - Austin, Texas

January 1, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process begins with recruiter screening, followed by a coding assessment and an interview with the hiring manager. The final virtual onsite consists of five interviews.

The interview process is flawed to an extent, as it is unable to identify unsuitable candidates during the initial rounds. My final interview rounds were straightforward, except for an app design portion where the interviewer wanted my design to relate more with Java. I am from the JavaScript ecosystem.

Overall, they could have saved everyone's time by not qualifying me for the final round, which was four hours long. Kudos to the recruiter who constantly kept me updated.
