Process
I applied through LinkedIn's jobs page and then received a reply from one of their HR representatives. There were a total of six rounds, one after another.
- First Interview with Senior Manager (approx. 1 hour): This interview involved discussing past and current work, my current role in the company, and what I expect from my next company.
- Technical Round (approx. 1 hour) on Codepair: Questions covered data structures, databases, and OOP.
If you cleared this round, they scheduled a "marathon" of four more rounds, one after another with different interviewers. Each interview round took around 45 minutes. All interviewers were pleasant to talk to.
The technical interview included a series of SQL queries, likely because I had listed SQL as a skill on my resume. No particular query stood out, but they did build upon each other.
I received the offer approximately one week after the interview.

Very bad company culture for new grads

Pros: Nothing good is here except location, Copley.
Cons: For new grads, they created HELL called Wayfair Labs.
You are given low-quality work to do in the first 3 months, and demons look over you. They won't miss a single opportunity to blame you.
You'll always be in fear because they start kicking you out, even for small mistakes.
You are punished for asking your doubts on Slack (communication channel).
THE-ONE-WHO-CANNOT-BE-NAMED is king of this hell. He'll smirk at you all times, making you realize you've made a terrible mistake by joining this company.
They don't judge you by any software engineering standard. THE-ONE-WHO-CANNOT-BE-NAMED knows how they judge.
It is highly advisable for new grads to not join this place.
From the engineers I talked to, nobody is happy there. Everyone is under pressure, and your job is hanging by a thread.
It's not worth joining such a place; they'll make you feel you are the worst engineer.

Good Balance, Unvalued Engineer

Pros: Good work-life balance. Depending on the team, it can be a great place to work.
Cons: Management at my team struggled to accommodate and meet the needs of the engineers, leaving at least me feeling underused and unvalued.

Good Culture, Beware of Layoffs

Pros: Wayfair has a great engineering culture. They don't like to advertise it, but they generally allow remote work.
I was exposed to a lot of really interesting technology, including Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, and Linux.
Cons: Over the time that I worked for this company, I survived two rounds of layoffs.
The decision to focus on growth above all else has resulted in unsustainable periods of expansion that were doomed to failure.
Senior management does not have a good understanding of the technology that powers their business.
There are a few engineers who are very senior but have extremely toxic attitudes, and their seniority basically makes them immune to critical feedback.
