Software Engineer Interview Experience - Boston, Massachusetts

Process

The process consisted of three parts:

  • An informational phone interview
  • A 24-hour coding project
  • A technical interview with live coding

For the coding project, it had been a while since I had used Java, but the interviewer was very nice about it and offered to extend the deadline over the weekend. In the end, it was a manageable project, so I did not need the extension. This shows how accommodating Wayfair was during the process.

Questions

Most, perhaps all, of the questions I received involved array manipulation (sorting, outputting certain combinations, mathematical analysis). Therefore, I strongly recommend brushing up on that.
