Software Engineer Interview Experience - Boston, Massachusetts
Process
The interview consisted of two back-to-back Skype interviews, totaling about two hours. The first was supposed to be a cultural fit interview, and the second technical. However, both were essentially technical and required me to write code on the Codepad website, where the interviewer could see it.
They had me complete some simple programs. When I mentioned I had briefly reviewed SQL prior to the interview, they asked me to perform some tasks with it. Even though I didn't do exceptionally well with it, they were primarily looking for basic knowledge and the ability to learn.
Questions
Describe a time you had a lot of trouble making a program and what you did to fix it. (I couldn't think of a good "story".)
