Pros: The work you get at Wayfair is pretty simple. It was a good entry-level job after I graduated from a local college. There are some nice people in the engineering department, and free snacks are a nice perk.

Cons: The work is very boring. The pay is not good. Senior management doesn't really care about people under them, and it's very hard to even talk to them. The turnover rate is exceptionally high, and you see people leaving all the time, but management doesn't really care and sees us as disposable. I don't see myself working here any longer, despite only being at Wayfair for a few months.

Pros: Growth opportunity Great people Great office

Cons: The PTO policy is much lower than the industry standard, with only ~3 weeks of PTO, no sick days, and 6 national holidays.

Pros: The open office environment breeds quick, direct, and efficient problem-solving, coupled with a deeper team feel and an understanding of how the parts of the company function. It's a great place to meet friends.

Cons: Management shoots itself in the foot by not listening to any notes given from current unhappy employees. Wayfair hires smart, young, and motivated kids right out of college that have the capacity to function in this dynamic environment. However, we're pigeonholed by finger-pointing, low salary, and above all else, one of the highest turnover rates I've ever seen in a company. This causes so many procedures to just halt in their tracks. New hire training is constant and required due to the number of people leaving the company of their own accord. I've heard from a number of colleagues that during their exit interviews, they voice all of the problems that had obstructed them from work, however, nothing has changed. There are several bright coworkers trying desperately to make the processes better and more fluid, but they're handicapped by tenure and lack of leadership, so they become jaded.
