Great company, gone corporate
Quality Assurance • Current Employee
April 4, 2020
Pros: Wayfair has an amazing culture for this size company, and its lower-grade positions pay above the industry average. It has changed to be more data-driven. Everyone makes a difference, and it has learned from past mistakes.
Cons: The fun startup is mostly gone, replaced by corporate politics. They make an effort to still be fun, but it feels like the decision-makers aren’t part of that conversation. Data drives decisions well, but politics get in the way at higher levels. I hear pay is not so great the higher you go.

Cons: I think there are no downsides to working at Wayfair.

Good, smart people. Reasonable tech
Software Engineering Manager • Former Employee

Pros: Tech evolved over 3 years to become quite good. Good direction from leadership.
Cons: Leadership is constantly changing; some CTOs have been good, others not so much.
