Pros

Established company, clear processes, good facilities (gym, subsidized cafeteria, etc.), benefits, and perks. There are lots of learning opportunities, with tons of classes you can join. They also sponsor volunteer days and continuing education.

Cons

Back when I worked there (2006-2010), there were too many levels of management, and initiative was often stifled. I was told, "Don't write any code, use off-the-shelf software." Well, off-the-shelf software didn't meet our needs. I ended up wasting months evaluating various solutions, then we still had to develop our own.

Advice to Management

Allow more initiative.
