Pros
  1. You get to work upon a good tech stack.
  2. Team leads are really good engineers.
  3. Product training and onboarding new employees to the product is great.
Cons
  1. Salary parity is not as per industry, and senior engineers are paid less than even service-based companies.

  2. The People and Culture team is not aligned with recent changes in the software industry, and they really need to change their way of working.

  3. Culture differs across locations within India. HR has no clue how to maintain consistency.

  4. Recent Director and VP hires are not aligned with the product and are merely delivery managers.

  5. Location-specific bias exists in the company, and new VPs are driving it to destroy the culture across the company.

Advice to Management
  1. Please maintain salary parity across locations. There might be a difference of 5-15%, but a 50% salary difference for the same job across different locations is nonsensical.

  2. Find out ways to avoid favoritism and bias from leaders in top management positions.

  3. Create a dedicated team for compensation analysis. The current People and Culture team is not adequately equipped to address it.
