At ActiveCampaign, Software Engineers work as part of a cross-functional product team in the design, implementation and maintenance of ActiveCampaign's software product. In this role, you will collaborate with the team to perform full-stack engineering, design and build new features and capabilities, and solve technical problems. You will join the Partner Platform Team that builds and maintains our partner portal and APIs that empower hundreds of partners to manage thousands of customers' accounts within the ActiveCampaign software.
Your day could consist of:
- Independently producing quality, tested code according to modern coding standards
- Participating in detailed code reviews
- Automating tests and repeatable tasks
- Troubleshooting and debugging large-scale systems (user base of 150K+)
- Creating observability tooling including alerts and dashboards
- Measuring and optimizing production systems
- Supporting legacy & modern services and applications in the public cloud
- Executing, monitoring and validating production changes
- Producing documentation for help guides, code comments, service playbooks and project tickets
Technical Environment:
- Object-oriented languages: PHP and Python
- Front-end languages: JavaScript, React, JQuery, and HTML
- Data stores: MySQL DB, DynamoDB and DocumentDB
- SaaS systems using REST APIs, micro-services on Kubernetes
- Tooling: Gitlab, Vault, Grafana and Jira
- Other services: Kafka and AWS services
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Technical degree or related experience in a software engineering role
- Proficient in 1-2 of the languages and technologies listed
- Interest and experience in mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with automated testing
- Proficiency in a given technology, domain or system
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
