Senior Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Developer Infrastructure team, focusing on building and improving developer environments and tooling. This role is part of the Developer Environments and Tooling team, responsible for enabling high-velocity local development through cloud-based developer workspaces, fast builds, responsive IDEs, and E2E testing environments.

The position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on Airbnb's developer experience, working on infrastructure that enables developers to develop, merge, and release high-quality code efficiently. You'll be at the forefront of moving development workflows to cloud-based environments, improving developer productivity across the entire organization.

As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for technical strategy, building secure and efficient platforms, and partnering with engineering leaders across Airbnb. The role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and distributed systems, with a focus on creating scalable solutions that improve developer velocity while maintaining reliability.

The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $191,000 - $223,000 USD, plus potential bonus and equity. This is a remote-eligible position within the United States, with occasional office visits or offsites as needed.
