Description For Software Engineer, Reputation

Airbnb, founded in 2007, has grown from hosting three guests in San Francisco to facilitating over 1 billion guest arrivals globally through 4 million hosts. We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Reputation team, which is central to Airbnb's trust platform. This role focuses on critical aspects including reviews, superhost program, and standards enforcement.

The role involves building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers user reviews, host recognition programs, and trust standards.

As a Software Engineer on the Reputation team, you'll be responsible for developing solutions that maintain trust and quality across the platform. You'll work with cross-functional partners, design scalable systems, and implement efficient backend solutions. The role requires proficiency in backend technologies like Ruby, Java, or Kotlin, and experience with various database systems.

The position offers competitive compensation ($153,000 - $184,900 USD), with the opportunity to work remotely within eligible US states. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about building trust-based systems at scale and making a meaningful impact on how millions of hosts and guests interact on the platform.
