Description For Staff Software Engineer, Adaptive Risk Investigations

Airbnb's Trust team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Adaptive Risk Investigation (ARI) team, which is crucial in protecting their community of over 5 million hosts and billions of guests from fraud and safety issues. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering to build foundational tools that empower Trust Operations. The role requires expertise in backend development, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures, with opportunities to work with technologies like Java, Kotlin, Scala, and GraphQL.

The position offers competitive compensation ($204,000 - $255,000), equity, and benefits, with the flexibility of remote work within eligible US states. You'll be joining a company that values diversity and inclusion, working on challenging problems in online and offline risk management. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the safety and trust of one of the world's largest hospitality platforms while working with a talented team of engineers and cross-functional partners.
