Description For Staff Technical Program Manager, Trust

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager for their Trust organization. This role will focus on trust enforcement systems, an ecosystem of services to enable detection and mitigation of fraud and policy violations at scale. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 7 years as a TPM. They will develop program scope, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure technical feasibility, and drive projects end-to-end. Key responsibilities include aligning on staffing and priorities, managing technical design diligence, effective communication with leadership, and providing visibility into key performance indicators. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities. This position is US-Remote eligible, with occasional work at Airbnb offices or offsites as agreed with the manager.

Responsibilities For Staff Technical Program Manager, Trust

  • Develop program scope and objectives, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure technical feasibility and drive projects end-to-end
  • Align on staffing, priorities and technical dependencies within Trust and cross-functional teams
  • Manage Technical Design diligence process for large programs
  • Manage effective communications to leadership and across teams
  • Drive process improvements and find new ways of operating
  • Provide visibility into key performance indicators
  • Work independently with stakeholders and cross-functional leadership

Requirements For Staff Technical Program Manager, Trust

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years of experience in software development industry with at least 7 years as a TPM
  • Ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Detail-oriented with ability to understand the bigger picture
  • Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies
  • Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of Asana, Jira, Airtable or other equivalent task management tooling
