Description For Maintenance Software Engineer

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Maintenance Software Engineer to join their Aircraft Systems team in Manching, Germany. This role is part of the Electrical & Control Germany department, responsible for developing aircraft centralized maintenance and recording systems for the Eurofighter and future military aircraft programmes. The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technology while being part of a diverse team with over 140 nationalities.

The role combines software engineering with aerospace systems, requiring expertise in embedded systems, software development, and testing. You'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from specification to certification, while working closely with international partners and customers. Responsibilities For Maintenance Software Engineer

  • Develop Aircraft Centralized Maintenance and Recording Systems and Software for Eurofighter and future military aircraft programmes
  • Specify, design, develop, test, qualify and generate certification evidence for maintenance system components and software
  • Provide system engineering support for aircraft integration
  • Support aircraft build line, flight test, maintenance repair and overhaul programs
  • Liaise with internal partners, external, national and international customers

Requirements For Maintenance Software Engineer

Linux
  • Completed Studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
  • Solid experience in a comparable role
  • Experience in Software Development and Embedded software
  • Experience in Test Software Tool Development and Software Testing
  • Experience in Safety analysis, C/C++, Requirements engineering, UML (ADA beneficial)
  • Fluent in English (German, French, Spanish or Italian beneficial)
