Android Software Development Engineer, Ring/Key Business

Ring, a subsidiary of Amazon, is seeking an experienced Android engineer to join their team working on cross-team mobile initiatives. This role focuses on improving both customer and engineer experiences through innovative mobile development. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape Ring's core offerings and work with home security devices.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in ambiguous environments, possess strong technical abilities, and excel in project management. They will be responsible for developing mobile app features, collaborating with product and UX teams, and continuously improving code quality and app performance. The role involves working with modern Android development tools including MVVM, Android Navigation Component, Data Binding, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, and Coroutines.

As part of the Ring team, you'll work across teams to prototype ideas and solve complex problems while raising the bar of applications through software best practices. The team is data-driven and values ownership, working backwards from customer needs to deliver innovative home security experiences. The compensation package is comprehensive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on geographic location, plus equity and benefits.
