Description For Atlassian Admin Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Technology-Low Earth Orbit Satellites

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Kuiper Productivity Engineering (KPE) team is seeking an Atlassian Administrator with infrastructure and automation experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Being a subject matter expert on Atlassian workflows, customizations, and configurations
  • Upgrading, configuring, and supporting Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo services
  • Developing customized solutions and integrations
  • Troubleshooting application issues
  • Optimizing setups and workflows
  • Developing metrics dashboards and automation for deployments and testing
  • Managing add-ons and plugins for Atlassian Data Center products
  • Researching and monitoring performance bottlenecks
  • Writing documentation and providing technical training

The role requires in-depth knowledge of Atlassian products and DevOps practices, with a focus on operating in the AWS GovCloud environment. The ideal candidate will function as both an Atlassian administrator and DevOps Engineer, working on two distinct Atlassian stacks and developing automation for upgrades, patching, and testing.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $116,300 to $201,200 per year, depending on the geographic market, along with potential equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on Atlassian workflows, customizations, and configurations
