Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, Fleet planning & Capacity

Amazon's EU Global Fleet and Products (GFP) - Fleet Planning and Capacity team (FPAC) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to optimize delivery network operations. This role focuses on developing high-efficiency fleet planning tools for Last Mile operations, working with large datasets to provide insights that help deliver billions of packages annually.

The position involves engineering critical metrics, creating performance measurements, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You'll work closely with product, technology, and analytics teams to develop tools and dashboards while supporting various stakeholders.

As a BIE, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing technical solutions for process improvement automations
  • Creating and managing performance metrics across delivery stations
  • Working with AWS products including Glue, Redshift, Quicksight, and Lambda
  • Analyzing complex data sets to drive operational improvements
  • Supporting cross-functional teams and stakeholders

The role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and advanced problem-solving capabilities. You'll work on complex initiatives with significant impact on Amazon's delivery operations, while advocating for customer needs through data-driven decision making.

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Experience with Python for data processing
  • Experience in the data/BI space
