Data Engineer II

Come build the future of entertainment with us at Prime Video, a premium streaming service offered by Amazon. We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our new Prime Video Sports tech team in Israel. You'll work on developing products to personalize customer experiences and provide real-time insights using Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML).

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering big data architectures for experimental and production use
• Developing end-to-end automation of data pipelines
• Creating automated alarming and dashboards for data integrity monitoring
• Managing capacity and performance plans
• Acting as a subject matter expert for data structure and usage

This role offers the opportunity to work on greenfield, cutting-edge, and large-scale engineering and big-data challenges. You'll be one of the founders of the Israel Prime Video Sports tech team, shaping the future of how Amazon customers watch movies and television.

Requirements:

• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Extensive industry experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or related fields
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, EMR, etc.)
• Coding and automation skills using Python or R

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda)
• Knowledge of non-relational databases and data stores
• Master's degree in a quantitative field
• Experience with big-data pipelines processing video content
• Background in Machine Learning and Data Mining
