Description For Data Engineer II, AWS Energy Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

As a Data Engineer II on the AWS Energy Team, you will:

  • Develop large data models for clients in energy, renewable resources, sustainability, and water sectors
  • Enable clients to assess their portfolios
  • Help data scientists create predictive models to enhance decision-making
  • Contribute to AWS's commitment to achieve net-zero carbon by 2040
  • Work on tools and innovative technology to manage AWS's growing portfolio of renewable energy investments

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Preferred: Experience with non-relational databases / data stores

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year to $205,600/year, depending on the geographic market, with additional compensation including equity, sign-on payments, and benefits.
