Description For Data Engineer II, Games Finance Analytics

Games Finance Analytics is looking for a highly skilled and technically adept Data Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines and infrastructure to support data-driven insights. Leveraging native AWS technologies and Amazon's internal tools, you will handle data ingestion, transformation, integration, and ensure high standards of data quality through validation, cleansing, and deduplication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using AWS technologies
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with various teams
  • Automating infrastructure deployment with CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensuring data quality and implementing data governance standards
  • Continuously improving and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure
  • Building a scalable and reliable data platform supporting analytics and financial planning

The ideal candidate must be customer-obsessed with a passion for financial data and games. You'll work with technologies such as Python, EMR, Spark, Airflow, and various AWS data services to build end-to-end pipelines that consolidate data from disparate systems.

The Games Finance Analytics (GFA) team supports the Games Finance org by transforming financial data into decisions, delivering actionable insights at scale for finance partners and business stakeholders. They own the data platform, reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions for Financial planning and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for the Games org.

This position offers a competitive salary range from $118,900/year to $205,600/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package and values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Requirements For Data Engineer II, Games Finance Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices
  • Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
  • Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)
