Description For Early Life Cycle Manager, Early Life-Cycle Management and Building Experience Management

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we're seeking an ELM Project Manager to work within the Global Central RME team. This role requires deep expertise in project management, strong technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end project lifecycle for new launches
  • End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects
  • Assessing and communicating project status, driving escalations on potential risks and delays
  • Collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams
  • Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones
  • Creating Business Continuity and Risk Mitigation plans
  • Resource planning
  • Supporting RME qualification process and vendor management

The role involves up to 75% travel. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, parental leave, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Experience working with and managing third-party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
