Description For Embedded Quality Assurance Engineer, Systems Engineering

As an Embedded Quality Assurance Engineer working with the Systems Engineering team, you will join a group of hands-on, passionate, and seasoned professionals developing innovative life safety and lifestyle products. Testing is primarily focused on qualifying and releasing custom hardware, embedded firmware, and maintaining releases centered around Ring Smart Lighting and Ring Alarm products.

Key responsibilities include: • Qualifying daily development stories and tasks for deployment • Reporting product readiness status to stakeholders • Troubleshooting and isolating bugs • Developing test strategies and plans for embedded devices • Contributing to scripting and automation of implemented frameworks • Simplifying and extending team testing, development, and operations processes

The team is distributed globally, with product and development leadership based in the US. They are growing a team in the United Kingdom to focus on the development of core Ring Smart Lighting and Alarm Accessories devices on the latest HW platforms. The team integrates devices into many of Amazon's family of products and technologies, like Echo and Alexa-enabled devices.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fun and fast-paced environment with talented professionals, qualify features on cutting-edge Ring products, perform root cause analysis for challenging issues, and collaborate with other QA and Development team members and stakeholders.
