Description For Energy Projects Manager, AWS Energy Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS Energy Team. In this role, you will support AWS's infrastructure expansion by leading energy projects with electric utilities and energy companies across AWS regions. You will manage the execution of multiple large-scale power infrastructure projects across different geographies in AMER East, including utility interactions and working with internal and external engineering, real estate, and planning teams to deliver electric infrastructure to serve AWS data centers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple Utilities, EPC, and Owner's Engineers to deliver a portfolio of inflight medium voltage and high voltage power infrastructure projects
  • Managing capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects
  • Collaborating with internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation and management of energy projects
  • Identifying and developing innovative cost savings projects related to energy infrastructure and supply
  • Working with utility regulators to develop policies that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives

The ideal candidate will have a strong energy background, experience working with regulated electric utilities, and the ability to think strategically about business, operations, and technical challenges. This role requires some domestic travel (less than 20%).

At AWS, we value work-life harmony, diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning. We offer mentorship, career growth opportunities, and a culture that empowers employees to be proud of their differences.
