Description For Graduate Automation Engineer Apprenticeship Program

Amazon offers a unique opportunity to join their RME team as a Graduate Automation Engineer through an apprenticeship program. This role combines hands-on experience with over 300 hours of theoretical and practical training in areas including electric and electronic systems, automation, robotics, and project management.

The position focuses on maintaining and improving control systems and sensors within Amazon's facilities. As an Automation Engineer, you'll work directly with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), performing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs while also training technicians and participating in continuous improvement projects.

The program provides comprehensive development opportunities, including mentorship from the Automation Engineer Team, training in EPLAN, panel wiring, PLC programming, Python, and SQL. This structured approach ensures graduates are fully prepared for an Automation Engineer position upon completion.

Located in the regions of Piedmont, Lombardy, and Veneto, this role requires working non-traditional shifts including nights and weekends. Responsibilities For Graduate Automation Engineer Apprenticeship Program

  • Monitor, fault find and repair control systems
  • Train technicians on control systems fault finding
  • Monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Work with IT, EU Controls Engineering and Operations Engineering
  • Maintain system documentation and backup libraries
  • Work in non-traditional shift patterns including nights and weekends

Requirements For Graduate Automation Engineer Apprenticeship Program

Python
  • Age between 18 and 29 years old
  • Bachelor degree in Automation Engineering field
  • Fluent in Italian with good communication skills
  • English proficiency at Level B2 or higher
  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Passion for Automation and Engineering
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Team player with good relationship building skills
