Description For IT Support Engineer I (L4)

Amazon's IT Support is the first point of contact for technical support service requests. As an IT Support Engineer I (L4), you will field incoming chats, calls, and online requests from Amazon Corporate and its subsidiary employees worldwide. You'll be customer-focused, innovative, and able to adapt quickly while handling a high volume of requests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide basic technical support to Amazon Corporate employees worldwide
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot end-user computing problems
  • Create detailed call logs documenting customer interactions
  • Follow standard operating procedures and maintain current knowledge of policies
  • Assist with triaging and escalating system or network outages
  • Support remote assistance in teleconferencing systems and AV presentation equipment
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows Server technologies, PC repair and troubleshooting, networking, and supporting corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in IT support within a corporate setting.

Responsibilities For IT Support Engineer I (L4)

  • Provide basic technical support to Amazon Corporate employees worldwide
  • Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries via web chat, telephone calls, email, and ticketing system
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot end-user computing problems
  • Create and submit detailed call logs documenting customer interactions
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and maintain current knowledge of policies
  • Assist with triaging and escalating system or network outages
  • Support remote assistance in teleconferencing systems and AV presentation equipment
  • Adhere to shift schedules and maintain timeliness

Requirements For IT Support Engineer I (L4)

Linux
  • 1+ years of Windows Server technologies: AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM experience
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment experience
  • 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience
  • 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
  • 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience
  • 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
