Network Development Engineer

Amazon is seeking best-in-class Network Engineers to help deploy and automate one of the world's largest and complex networks. As part of Amazon Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for deploying network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting various Amazon services. Your role will involve:

• Deploying, scaling, and automating networks across multiple global datacenters
• Driving scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand
• Creating simple, repetitive deployment processes to increase velocity and quality
• Working closely with internal customers on designs/solutions from concept to production
• Creating and updating network standards
• Implementing network changes
• Collaborating with automation teams to define scaling tools

The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong communication and project management skills, and has a track record of designing scalable solutions and troubleshooting complex network problems. You'll join a diverse team within AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering technology related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years professional experience in large scale networking environments
• Experience with internet routing protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS and/or OSPF
• Experience with network operating systems like Cisco IOS and Junos
• Linux/Unix experience and automation skills via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python
