Quality Assurance Engineer II, Amazon Bazaar

Our objective with Bazaar is to enable "beginner online shoppers" shop for low-cost fashion and home products at wholesale prices.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II for Amazon Bazaar, you will be instrumental in shaping the product direction and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact the business. You will be responsible for testing code through various methods, including manual test cases, writing test automation, and using various tools. You'll use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques, and should be able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests.

You'll work closely with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Additionally, you'll collaborate with Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests.

• Driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies
• Creating detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
• Leading quality assurance efforts on medium to large sized projects
• Applying excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on quality assurance
• Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, upwards and downwards
• Staying current with the latest technologies and applying them to your work
