Description For Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Project Kuiper is an initiative by Amazon to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for Project Kuiper, you will work in a start-up environment, building foundational data pipelines, analyzing large data sets, and creating self-service dashboards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying advanced analytical techniques to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
  • Performing deep-dives across multiple regions to identify best practices and opportunities
  • Conducting in-depth analyses of sales performance, churn, and usage behavior
  • Developing global reporting solutions for the business-to-consumer team
  • Building self-service tools and dashboards for customer-level performance insights
  • Collaborating with Product teams, Data Scientists, Software developers, and Data Engineers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Strong SQL and programming skills (e.g., Python)
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Knowledge of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders

This role offers a competitive salary range of $117,300 to $202,800 per year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package and values diversity in the workplace.

Responsibilities For Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Requirements For Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Python
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or lawful admission as a refugee or asylee due to export control laws
