Description For Senior Engineer, JP Robotics, JCFS

Amazon is seeking experienced professionals to contribute to its business in Japan. The Japan Customer Fulfillment Solutions (JCFS) is the core department for Amazon Japan's operations, focusing on maximizing operational network capabilities through continuous process improvement and innovation.

Amazon Japan is looking for an engineer in the JPFC Engineering department who can:

  • Communicate with global engineering teams to stay updated on the latest technologies and introduce them to Japan.
  • Organize future technical requirements for Japan and develop new technologies in collaboration with global engineering teams.
  • Understand complex flows of goods and information, combining human and machine elements to create, design, develop, and implement inbound and outbound equipment tailored to inventory storage facilities.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in large-scale engineering projects.
  • Lead the design and innovation of optimal fulfillment solutions, considering equipment specifications, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property.
  • Communicate and negotiate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve high-quality, low-cost inbound and outbound methods in a short period.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Consideration of new automation solutions, creation of specifications, and financial studies
  • Creation of documents according to the development process and obtaining approvals
  • Creation of test plans and implementation of tests for solutions

About the team: JP Robotics is a team that develops and introduces new automation solutions in collaboration with global teams. Recently, they have also been developing solutions independently in Japan and expanding them globally.

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • High level of communication skills in both Japanese and English (business level), both verbal and written
