Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Amazon Security, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations
- Assess technical details and potential impact of vulnerabilities across Amazon's infrastructure
- Lead detection and analysis of vulnerabilities through development of scanning capabilities
- Investigate and triage vulnerabilities
- Design and implement automation tools and workflows
- Partner with teams to identify and increase coverage and detection capabilities
- Mentor junior security engineers
- Collaborate with leadership on VMRO program strategy
- Participate in on-call responsibilities
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Amazon Security, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related; or 4+ years equivalent experience
- 7 years engineering experience in system, network, and/or application security
- 5 years experience improving accuracy of vulnerability detection mechanisms
- 5 years experience with vulnerabilities, exploits and vulnerability management systems
- Experience building applications on cloud-based services
- 5 years experience developing vulnerability assessment tools in Python, Java
