Senior Software Engineer, S&OP Automation

Amazon Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Automation team. This role is part of the Planning Automation Modules (PAM) team, which is revolutionizing how S&OP generates plans across global operations. The team builds infrastructure to support S&OP processes at a global scale, including platforms for running complex optimization models efficiently. PAM is already operational in Europe and North America, managing inventory flows across more than 300 Fulfillment Centers globally.

As a Senior SDE, you'll be a force multiplier within the team, mentoring other SDEs and tackling complex system designs. The role requires expertise in delivering highly distributed systems at scale, familiarity with design patterns like CDKs, libraries, and versioning, and a strong operational background working with multiple teams. You'll have significant autonomy to solve challenging problems while working backwards from customer needs.

The position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and programming languages, with your contributions directly impacting Operation teams worldwide. You'll be part of a team that manages everything from vendor/seller inventory receipt to Fulfillment Center shipments, while focusing on reliability, speed, cost, and sustainability.
