The People eXperience and Technology (PXT) Central Science Team at Amazon uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, Machine Learning, and LLMs to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements which simultaneously improve Amazon and the lives, wellbeing, and the value of work to Amazonians. This interdisciplinary team combines science and engineering talents to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve this goal.
As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) specializing in managing large volumes of data within an MLOps/GenAIOps framework, you'll work on:
- Building distributed, scalable, and highly available systems for ML, LLM, Econometrics/Statistical/Causal models
- Developing products ranging from Data Lakes to tools for science experimentation, MLOps, GenAIOps, analytics, and web applications
- Integrating software solutions with other Amazon systems
- Focusing on robust, user-friendly software solutions, data security, and privacy
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with economists, academic scholars, machine learning experts, and fellow developers
- Crafting, experimenting, and launching services embodying diverse scientific models
- Leveraging intricate distributed systems and handling Big Data
- Applying advanced statistical methods
The ideal candidate will have:
- Expertise in Machine Learning lifecycle management
- Familiarity with model training, validation, debugging tools, and analysis techniques
