Amazon Financials Foundation Services (AFFS), a division within Amazon's eCommerce Services Organization (eCS), is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in advancing one of the world's most scalable and secure e-commerce ecosystems, processing hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions across multiple currencies and countries.

The position involves building, scaling, monitoring, and optimizing systems within AFFS, interfacing with various teams including Retail Systems, Marketplace Systems, Digital Systems, Web services, and Financial systems. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, with systems managing hundreds of millions of records and handling millions of service requests per minute.

As an SDE II, you'll contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design to operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be self-driven, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
